What Back in Stock does

Back in Stock Notifications for WooCommerce adds a "Notify me" form to out-of-stock products. When the product, or the exact variation the customer wanted, is back in stock, everyone waiting gets an email with a link to buy it.

Back in Stock features

Included with every licence

  • Signup form on out-of-stock simple products and on out-of-stock variations, shown only when that variation is selected.
  • Works on classic themes, block themes and the [bisn_back_in_stock_form] shortcode, with or without JavaScript.
  • Emails sent automatically in the background when stock returns, in batches, using WooCommerce's Action Scheduler.
  • The email is a regular WooCommerce email: edit its subject, heading and extra text under WooCommerce > Settings > Emails, and it uses your email template and colours.
  • One-click unsubscribe link in every email.
  • Optional consent checkbox for GDPR.
  • Spam protection with a honeypot field and rate limiting.
  • Stock Alerts screen with every signup, filters, search, bulk delete and a "Most wanted" list of products.

Pro features

  • Show "12 people are waiting for this" above the form.
  • Email to the shop owner on every signup.
  • Export all signups to CSV.
  • "Send now" for any product, for when automatic sending is off.

Questions about Back in Stock

When are emails sent?

As soon as a product's stock status changes to "In stock", whether you edit the product, import stock or receive a refund that restocks it. Sending runs in the background, 50 emails per batch.

Does it work for variations?

Yes. Customers subscribe to the exact variation, and only that variation coming back in stock triggers their email.

Is the email sent more than once?

No. Each signup is emailed once and then marked as emailed.

What about products on backorder?

Products that can be backordered are still purchasable, so the form is not shown.
