Choosing a checkout plugin for WooCommerce

The checkout is where a store makes or loses the sale, and where WooCommerce gives you the fewest settings. These plugins add what stores ask for most: extras customers can tick, quantity rules that are enforced everywhere, and control over which payment and shipping options appear.

Gift Wrap and Checkout Add-Ons puts order-level extras at the cart and checkout, such as gift wrapping, a gift message, rush handling or insurance, each with its own fee, with totals that update as soon as something is ticked. Min Max Quantities sets minimum, maximum and step quantities per product or store-wide and enforces them on the product page, in the cart and at checkout. Conditional Payments and Shipping decides which gateways and shipping methods a customer sees.

All of them work on the block checkout and the classic checkout, which matters: many older checkout plugins only support one of the two.

Common questions

Can customers add gift wrapping to the whole order?

Yes. Gift Wrap and Checkout Add-Ons adds a gift wrapping option, a gift message and any other extra at the cart and checkout, with a fee per order, per item or as a percentage.

Can I set a minimum order quantity?

Yes. Min Max Quantities sets minimums, maximums and "group of" steps per product, variation or category, plus order-level minimums by items or amount.

Do these plugins change the block checkout?

They add to it without replacing it. Extras appear in the order summary, rules show as notices, and totals update through WooCommerce's own Store API.
