Sell the little extras that go with an order. Add gift wrapping for a fee, a free gift message, a choice of wrapping paper, rush handling as a percentage, insurance per item, or anything else a customer might tick at the checkout. Each one becomes a fee line on the order, and what the customer chose is printed on the order, in the emails and in the order editor.

Three kinds: a checkbox (yes or no), a choice (a dropdown of options, each with its own fee) and text (a message, with an optional fee and a length limit)

How to set up Gift Wrap & Checkout Add-Ons in WooCommerce

Upload the plugin to /wp-content/plugins/ or install the zip from Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.

Activate it. Gift wrapping and a gift message are created for you.

Go to WooCommerce > Checkout Add-ons to change them or add more.

Questions about Gift Wrap & Checkout Add-Ons

Where do the add-ons appear?

On the cart page above the totals and at the checkout after the order notes (classic), or in the order summary (block cart and checkout). Settings let you hide them from the cart page.

Can an add-on apply only to some orders?

Yes. Limit it to carts that hold products from chosen categories, or to carts above a subtotal. When the cart changes and the condition no longer holds, the fee is dropped automatically.

How are fees taxed?

Like any WooCommerce fee: tick Taxable and pick a tax class, and tax is calculated with the customer's address.

Can the customer add a gift message without a fee?

Yes. Leave the fee at 0 on a text add-on. The message is saved on the order and shown in the emails and the order editor.

What happens to my data if I delete the plugin?

Orders keep their fee lines and the choices. The add-ons and settings are removed only if "Remove data on uninstall" is ticked.
