Request a Quote for WooCommerce
Let customers request a quote for products, then send prices from the order editor and let them accept and pay online.
- Block cart and checkout
- Classic cart and checkout
- High-performance order storage
- WooCommerce 9 – 11
- WordPress 6.6 – 7.1
- PHP 7.4+
Request a Quote
- Add to quote next to, or instead of, Add to cart
- Requests become orders you price in the normal order editor
- Customers accept and pay online, with expiry dates
- Quote emails, My Account quotes, and hidden prices if you want them
What Request a Quote does
Turn "how much for 200 of these?" into orders. Customers add products to a quote list and send it with their details. Each request becomes a WooCommerce order with the status "Quote requested", so you price it in the order editor you already know: change line prices, add shipping or fees, apply tax. Then send the quote; the customer accepts and pays on the normal payment page, or simply clicks Accept if you invoice them yourself.
Request a Quote features
For customers
- "Add to quote" next to "Add to cart" on product pages, or instead of it for quote-only products
- Works with variable products, quantities, shop grids and block themes
- A quote page to change quantities, remove items and send the request with name, email, phone, company, address and a message (you choose which fields to ask)
- Optionally hide prices and show "Price on request"
- Products without a price become quote-only automatically, including variable products whose options have no prices
- Lists drop products that are no longer available, and repeated requests from one visitor are limited (5 an hour by default)
- An email confirming the request, then an email with the quote, the expiry date and an "Accept and pay" button
- A link to view the quote, accept it or decline it with a reason, also for guests
- My Account > Quotes lists every quote with its status, total and expiry
For you
- Requests arrive as orders with their own statuses: Quote requested, Quote sent, Quote accepted, Quote declined
- "Send quote to customer" in the order actions, and "Valid until" on each quote
- Expired quotes can no longer be paid and are cancelled automatically
- Emails for new requests and for accepted or declined quotes, all editable under WooCommerce > Settings > Emails
- When a quote is paid, WooCommerce's normal order emails go out and it continues like any order
- Quotes do not count as sales in WooCommerce Analytics until they are paid
- Choose which products can be quoted (all, categories, or marked products) and by whom (everyone, guests, or chosen roles); override on any product
- Customers with wholesale or role-based prices get those prices in their quote

Questions about Request a Quote
How do I send a quote?
Open the request under WooCommerce > Quotes, change the prices in the order items, recalculate, then choose "Send quote to customer" in the order actions and click Update.
How do customers accept?
By default they pay on WooCommerce's order payment page with any of your payment methods. If you prefer to invoice, choose "Clicking Accept" in the settings; accepted quotes move to "Quote accepted" and can still be paid later from their payment link.
Can I show a link to the quote in my menu?
Use the [raqw_quote_link] shortcode, which shows "Quote (3)", or link to the Quote page.
Do quote requests reduce stock?
No. Stock is handled when the quote is paid, like any order.
