  • Works with variable products

What Frequently Bought Together does

The section every big shop has: "Frequently bought together", with the product, two or three companions, ticked by default, a total, and one button that adds them all. Suggestions come from the products you pick, from what customers really bought together, and from your cross-sells, upsells and related products, in the order you prefer.

Frequently Bought Together features

On the product page

  • The product plus up to six companions, each with image, name, price and a checkbox
  • A live total for the ticked items, and the saving when a bundle discount applies
  • One "Add all to cart" button; variable companions are added as their default variation, and a variable main product uses the options the customer has chosen
  • Below the add-to-cart form on block and classic themes, below the summary on classic themes, or anywhere with the [frequently_bought_together] shortcode

Suggestions

  • Your picks: choose products on the Linked Products tab of any product
  • Real orders: every day the plugin counts which products were bought together in paid orders and keeps the strongest pairs; you set how far back to look and how many orders a pair needs
  • WooCommerce's own cross-sells, upsells and related products as a fallback
  • Out-of-stock, unpurchasable and hidden products are never suggested
  • Hide the section on any product

Bundle discount

  • A percentage off the extra items, or off everything, while the main product and the extras are in the cart together
  • A product can set its own percentage
  • Taken off as a discount line in the cart, so prices from other plugins stay intact

Questions about Frequently Bought Together

How are the "real orders" suggestions built?

Once a day, and whenever you click Rebuild, the plugin scans paid orders from the last N days and counts how often each pair of products appears in the same order. Pairs that appear at least the minimum number of times become suggestions, strongest first.

What if a customer unticks items?

Only the ticked items are added. The discount applies as long as the main product and at least one extra are in the cart together.

How does the discount work with other pricing plugins?

It is a negative fee named "Bought together discount", calculated from the items' line totals after the other plugins have set their prices, so it never fights them.

Can I use it on the home page?

Yes: [frequently_bought_together id="123"] shows the section for product 123 anywhere.

What happens to my data if I delete the plugin?

Nothing is removed unless "Remove data on uninstall" is ticked, in which case settings, your picks and learned suggestions are deleted.
